bigglesevents | Cuddles4Biggles Prompting Fest

Welcome to our second prompting fest: Cuddles4Biggles or the Biggles Cuddlefest! This is based on Smut4Biggles and uses basically the same rules.

Rules:

* You may request any combination of characters, pairings, or gen. "Any" or "original" are perfectly fine too (e.g. "Erich von Stalhein & Any Biggles Team Member"). The only requirement is that cuddling, hugging, petting, or other physical contact must be suggested by the prompt or fill.

* Here is a suggested format for leaving your prompts (not required):

[The last line is new and completely optional, but if you don't want to be given AO3 gifts for a particular prompt, you may indicate it. I'm adding this because I've seen some promptmemes that had this, and personally enjoy having the option. Also, some people just don't have gifting turned on in general.]

* You can also use the DW subject line if you like, e.g. "Biggles/Algy, snuggling for warmth". Not required, but helpful.

* To fill a prompt, reply to it in a comment with your fill or a link to the fill elsewhere. You can post it anywhere: your DW, AO3, Tumblr, etc. There is no minimum or maximum fill length, from a sentence to full-length fic is fine.

* Anonymous prompts and fills are fine.

* You may also fill your own prompts.

* Please do not gift anyone an unrequested pairing. If your fic ends up changing as you're writing it to be about a different pairing, or include other pairings, it's perfectly fine to post it on AO3 without gifting it to anyone and simply credit the original prompt as inspiration! Erich’s bedroom window faced east. The lace curtains which had come with the flat failed to block much light, casting long filigreed shadows across the carpet. It didn’t matter much to Erich when he first arrived; he always woke before dawn.

This had become less true as time passed. In the months following his defection, he had found that his routines shifted. There was no longer any need to wake quite so early in the morning, and the sun’s rays became more bothersome as spring approached. Other elements contributed to this irritation, but none quite so much as the one currently occupying the other half of his narrow bed.

Erich stretched languidly and lay back against his pillow. He had forgotten how much warmer it was, sharing a bed.

“Curtains,” muttered Bigglesworth, one arm cast across his eyes. “Must get you proper blackout curtains.”

Erich smiled. “The world is waking up,” he said. He had no intention of moving, of course. It was simply pleasant to argue over trifles. “Perhaps we should too.”

Bigglesworth groaned in protest. His other arm, already curled lightly around Erich’s waist, tightened dramatically, pulling him closer. It was odd seeing this side of the other man, usually almost comically buttoned-up.

“Can I persuade you otherwise?” He asked. His lips, ever a source of interest, tipped up just a touch at the corners. “It’s Sunday, after all. Never much to do on a Sunday.”

“Perhaps I’ve developed religion,” replied Erich. He inched closer, settling into the warmth of Bigglesworth’s embrace. It meant he felt the laugh he provoked in his own chest, vibrating.

Erich gradually learning to appreciate lie-ins! This is soft and lovely and perfect for them both. And I see going curtain shopping with Biggles is in his future now (paisley curtains? the mind boggles)

Oh, this is so warm and lovely! <3333 I love the gradual phasing out of the early morning wakeups (or just lack of caring about his environment at all) as a sign of Erich settling into his new life and learning to relax and be happy here, and the morning snuggling is so darling, including Biggles's annoyance with the early morning sun. He absolutely WILL buy him blackout curtains and probably 20 other small nice things for the flat if Erich gives him half a chance, I suspect! And Erich finding a relaxed, complaining Biggles adorable is definitely a mood.
