Smut4Biggles planning post
This was originally suggested at rietta89's blog - see original post here - so, as promised, I'm putting up a coordination and planning post.
smut4smut is (as the name suggests) a smut (explicit fic) exchange that runs around this time, but in order to participate, you need at least 3 fandoms. For those of us who have only one at the moment, the idea was that we could have some kind of event inspired by smut4smut, but just for Biggles.
In other words, Smut4Biggles! (And other characters, obviously.)
smut4smut also has an extensive list of freeform tags which make excellent prompts and inspiration!
So here are the ideas I currently have, based on the discussion at Rietta89's DW and a couple more I thought of. Feel free to suggest more!
* An exchange similar to smut4smut, using their kink/sex tagset (with their permission) or a similar tagset of our own, but just for Biggles. I cannot run it at this time, so if this is the option we go with, I'll need a volunteer who can run an exchange. It could be on or off AO3.
* A kinkmeme-style prompting post, which takes the form of a post here at Bigglesevents in which people post prompts in the form of comments and other people create fics (or art or other mediums if requested) to fill them. The Smut4smut tags may be used for prompts or as inspiration, but aren't required. You can also include likes/DNWs, and can post and fill prompts anonymously if you like.
* A prompting event similar to AU Fest from last year, similar to the above, except that the prompts are posted on AO3 and people select and fill them there.
* A bingo card event, in which the entire Smut4Smut tagset is used to make the card, and you can veto a very limited number of Smut4Smut tags. In this case, it would be an inspiration event rather than a receiving one (that is, you get prompts for inspiration, but don't receive any gifts).
* A personal bingo card in which YOU pick 25 Smut4Smut tags you like, and I make it into a bingo card for you - so that you'd have your chosen prompts in random rows and could try to get a bingo or combine groups of prompts for fun. As above, this would provide inspiration rather than gifts for you.
**NOTE:** all the options involving the Smut4Smut tagset will need the permission of the Smut4Smut mods. I don't mind asking them, if we choose one of those. If they say no, we'll need to create our own tagset instead.
Which ones of this do you like? Pick as many as you like, just pay attention to the GIANT CAVEAT on the exchange option.
Feel free to suggest more in the comments, talk about these and work out issues with them, or ask for clarification if something is unclear!
Just as kind of a general data point, my personal favorite of these is the kinkmeme/promptmeme option, just because it would be the easiest to run, the most versatile, and people get gifts! But you can obviously vote for whichever one(s) sound best to you.

I think AO3 has a way of setting up kink memes, which would probably give you a description box for DNWs? I think I've claimed a prompt that way at some point. I don't know if that's a low effort option, but it might be in so far as it probably wouldn't include a tagset.
Having said that, I like the idea of a kinkmeme right here. I'm curious - if you requested one pairing with multiple prompt choices (as you do), would each prompt be a separate request or would they be all in one?
The exchange option doesn't seem a popular idea atm, what with everyone leaping on the H/C one. :D
In theory though, I'd happily co-run one. I've just never done it, so I'd need help.

HOWEVER I absolutely love the idea of the bingo cards and I think it would be awesome to return to those later in the year, say in the summer after the H/C and Prisoner exchanges have revealed? (Though of course, the beauty of a bingo card is that you can write whenever you like, so I certainly wouldn't object to seeing that happen sooner.)
Of the two bingo card ideas, I prefer the one with random assignation over the personalised one, but there are a LOT of smut4smut tags, a fair number of which are DNWs, and I'm probably not alone in that--so I wonder if instead of using the entire list maybe we could have an anonymous tag nomination post on Bigglesevents to reduce the list down to a more manageable number of prompts all suggested by our own fandom?
Whatever decision is made, though, you may be sure of my enthusiastic participation! Thank you again for offering to co-ordinate <3

A few more, off the top of my head:
Stranded on a desert island, taking it rough (I know it's on the other bingo card, but it must be on this one too), getting one's man, skinny dipping, uniforms, tied up, and that very easy one - Mount Street. :D
This kind of bingo card definitely needs to be a thing. The kinkmeme seems to be the crowd-favourite rn for something involving smut4smut prompts, but I think this should absolutely happen too and with no time limits.

Totally with you about the two bingo options. I do like the random selection idea, but there are way too many DNWs that I'd have to opt out of. That's such a good idea, having the fandom suggest prompts for a smut bingo card, as long as there's still a way to opt out of some. They could be general enough to fit different pairing choices and, like
