Biggles Holiday Airdrop 2025 dates

After a few delays, we are a GO! The new 2025 collection will be linked here when signups open; it's still being finalized.

Schedule for 2025:
• Fri, Nov 14 - Signups open
• Fri, Nov 21 - Signups close (2pm AKST/6pm EST/11pm UK)
• Sat, Nov 22 - Assignments out no later than this
• Fri, Jan 9 - Assignments due (2pm AKST/6pm EST/11pm UK)
• Wed, Jan 14 - Works revealed (11am AKST/3pm EST/8pm UK)
• Mon, Jan 19 - Authors revealed (11am AKST/3pm EST/8pm UK)

(I realize the times are a bit weird, but that's what you get when the main mod is in Alaska and most of the fandom is in the UK ...)

Tag nominations and signups will be happening simultaneously as in past years. The tagset will come preloaded with a basic array of relationships and solo characters, and then you can add whatever else you want! Crossovers and characters from other Johns books are perfectly fine as long as at least one Biggles character is involved!

We will stick with fanfic-only again this year (there was some interest on other fanwork types in the poll last year, but for now, not enough to add the extra admin headache of matching multiple fanwork types).

However, I am thinking about a prompt fest in December, so we can have some low-pressure holiday festivities (this exchange doesn't reveal 'til the new year, after all), as well as allowing works of any type.

Biggles also has a very strong showing in Yuletide this year, so I hope everyone who's doing that is having a great time!
