Thank you so much to everyone who weighed in on the poll! (Also, life ate me briefly the last week or two; oops.)

Here are the Holiday Airdrop dates for 2024:
Signups open: Thurs, Nov 7
Signups close: Fri, Nov 15
Assignments out by: Sat, Nov 16
Assignments due: Mon, Jan 6
Works revealed: Fri, Jan 10
Authors revealed: Mon, Jan 13

(I had to pull up my 2025 calendar for this. 😭 What is time.)

Let me know if there are any big issues with any of this! Otherwise I'll see you all for signups on Thursday.

The week between assignment due and works reveal - is that still open for treating?

(Also slightly eaten by life; also slightly o.O about making plans for what I might be doing in the second week of Jan XD)

It is absolutely open for treating! (And even later treats would be fine - I usually don't close the collection.)

There's also a possibility of delays if people are having trouble finishing up, since I usually make the period between due date and reveals pretty short.

If there are relationships we'd like to request that aren't in the tagset, do we need to use the nomination form to get them added? And if so, can we do that now, or do we need to wait until sign-ups open?

Yes, the nomination form will be the way to add relationships that aren't already in the tagset. I don't have it all set up yet - I'll get that done in the next day or two, and it will come pre-populated with a list of relationships.

If you'd like, you can list out the ones you know you're going to want in a comment here, and I'll make sure they're in. Of course, there will be opportunity to add more later as well!

Lovely, thank you! I seem to remember I messed up last year and failed to use the form correctly, so it's kind of you to add them from here.

The ones I know I'll want (that aren't already in the list of 55 tags from last year) are:

Would a tag like Any Member(s) of 666 Squadron be possible as well, or is that too broad/vague?

Oh hmmm, I need to think about that! I think I'd be fine with it in the context of a relationship (e.g. Algy & Any 666 Squadron Member(s)) but if you were wanting it just on its own, I think it might be difficult to prompt for - just because it could be literally *any* combo of anyone in the squadron. Or were you thinking as part of a longer tag in combination with other characters?

I was actually thinking of it for 'literally *any* combo of anyone in the squadron' (in a gen sense!) rather than individually tagging '& Anyone' for each member. I'm craving Team Feels for 666 (hopefully with a bit of fic time for the non-SAP members of the squadron) in any combination anyone wants to write.

You know, I can't see any reason not to allow it, since I already allow "Character & Any" which has just as much (or more) scope.

It would come with the risk that you'd get e.g. Biggles & Algy fic, but (as this is a pretty small exchange and most people in the exchange know each other) I expect there is a high chance that anyone who's offering it would also think it would be fun to write for the lesser-seen members of the squadron as well.

Heya! So first of all, the tagset is open for nominations:

I decided not to use the ongoing tagset, but rather to start fresh this year, so it won't have the previous year's tags. (I'm about to make a post about it, so there will be plenty of opportunity to put tags in!)

I added Erich/Marie and the 666 Squadron tag for you, but for the others I would need to look up their last names individually (I don't remember any of their full names) so I think I'll let you go ahead and nominate those and anything else you wanted.

I'll keep a close eye on nominations since I'm starting from zero this year, so hopefully everything will be updated quickly! I'm planning to open signups in about 12 hours or so, but it'll be open for over a week, so there's no rush.
