There is so much beautiful imagery--the entire second paragraph is just *chef's kiss*--and I love how you draw parallels throughout about how it was before versus how it is now, and how they both have that bit of uncertainty that is swiftly resolved under the covers. I love how it is Erich taking the lead here, inviting Biggles up to his flat and kissing him first; that's exactly how I feel their post-Hatchet dynamic would go, with Biggles constantly afraid of overstepping.
