Smut4Biggles 1st inaugural prompting smutfest
Welcome to the Smut4Biggles prompting fest! This is the post for leaving smutty/porny prompts and fills of all types. You can also post your fills to AO3, your own journal, or anywhere else; just leave a comment to the person whose prompt you are filling so they know where to look.
This is loosely inspired by, but not associated with,
smut4smut. We were inspired by the smut4smut tag set, and you are invited to browse it for inspiration of your own. (We are not affiliated with smut4smut in any way, however.)
Rules:
* This is a very informal fest, so there is no standard prompt format. We suggest you include at minimum a pairing, prompt, and anything you don't want (or link to DNWs elsewhere if long). A suggested format might be:
Warnings: (leave this out if none)
Pairing:
Prompt:
Do not want:
But use whatever format you like! You may feel free to use the subject line of a comment for your pairing and an abbreviated prompt (e.g. "Biggles/Algy, postwar hookup") but don't have to.
* To fill a prompt, reply to it in a comment with your fill or a link to it.
* There is no minimum or maximum fill length. Anything from a couple of sentences to full-length fic is fine. You may also fill your own prompts.
* Art is OPT IN for this fest, as we're mostly a text-based fandom and some people don't like explicit art, but you may certainly prompt for art, or any other medium!
* You may leave prompts and fills anonymously. ** Please let me know if it doesn't work or if there are any issues with this. If people abuse anonymous posting, we'll turn it off.**
* Fills must contain the requested pairing and only the requested pairing, and must not contain the person's do-not-wants/DNWs, but do not have to contain explicit sex.
* Please don't gift unrequested pairings. If your fic ends up changing as you're writing it to be about a different pairing, or include other pairings, it's perfectly fine to post it on AO3 without gifting it to anyone and simply credit the original prompt as inspiration!
* Crossovers are fine to prompt as long as they contain at least one character who appears in the Biggles books.
* Prompts may also include characters not directly involved in the pairing, such as "Biggles/EvS & Algy, Algy walks in on them."
* IMPORTANT: Please warn in the subject line or first line of the fill/prompt for the following: Noncon (i.e. rape), Dubcon (i.e. sex pollen, drugged but consensual sex), Character Death, Underage, Self-harm. Other warnings may be added at your discretion. This content can definitely be included in a fill if the prompter asked for it, but should not be included if they did not. **Please let the mod (me!) know if you need a warning added. Please also note that once a comment is replied to it cannot be edited, so replying to a comment to ask for a warning means it must be reposted.**
* By leaving prompts and fills, you know you will see explicit content, and may witness content you don't like.
The following content is not permitted in this fest: Nazi RPF, symbols, or kinking on Nazi paraphernalia; fills that contain recipients' DNWs; slurs that are considered offensive in the present day. Mods may delete or screen comments that break the rules or contain other offensive content not covered above.
Update: oh, and it's fine to comment on other people's prompts with comments that aren't fills if you like; you can just comment to say "ooh that's nice" or ask for clarification about some specific part of the prompt if you like! (Again, we might revisit this rule if Bad Stuff Happens, but leaving supportive comments on other people's prompts is perfectly fine.)
Update 2: See list of completed fills here.

Biggles/EvS: Wingfic--Preening leads to sex
Prompt: Wingfic: preening leads to sex. That is the entirety of the prompt; I do not mind which (or both!) of them has the wings.
Do not want: non-con; bodily secretions other than saliva, sweat & semen; breath play; any use of the word 'penis'; hardcore BDSM using specialist equipment; deliberate testing of limits; use of safewords; soppy/romantic pet names.
FILL: Biggles/EvS: Wingfic--Preening leads to sex
This is a follow-up to
--
With his wings cleaned and feathers restored to some semblance of order, it was clear over the next few days that von Stalhein was much more comfortable. He still wore oversized, borrowed clothing that hid his wings, giving him the semblance of a hunchback, unlike the cleanly tailored shirts from his past life that proudly displayed the wings folded neatly along his back. But there was something a little straighter in the way that he stood, more like the man Biggles had known. Biggles thought it wasn't his imagination that von Stalhein seemed a little more relaxed with them, less brittle and resistant to the slightest of friendly overtures. He smiled rarely, spoke mostly to Fritz, but there was still a sense of thawing and warming, as of a tentative spring starting to melt a deep winter snow.
His wings were still healing, and therefore, like any healing wound, in need of care. At first Biggles tried to keep a distance, not wanting to take liberties after the necessary intimacy of helping to care for his wings at the American base. So it was a surprise when von Stalhein approached him, in early evening while the others were relaxing or working on routine maintenance on the Sea Otter. Fritz had gone out for the evening with Ginger, who had offered to show him around the small shopping district near the hotel where they were spending the night. Biggles had a chart spread out in the common room, idly checking the calculations for their flight tomorrow. He looked up at von Stalhein's approach in surprise.
Von Stalhein inclined his head and said without preamble, "If it's not an imposition, might I ask a brief favor?"
"Yes, of course," Biggles said. He rose swiftly, and was even more startled when von Stalhein gestured him toward the stairs.
"The wings -- they require some care," von Stalhein said, not quite meeting his eyes. "It is easier with two, and Fritz may be back late."
"I would be happy to help," Biggles said in perfect honesty. He still remembered very clearly the tactile sensation of von Stalhein's wings under his hands, their living softness and warmth, like nothing he had ever touched before. He had wanted very badly to touch them again, but would not have dreamed to presume by asking.
Now, he followed von Stalhein upstairs and into the room that von Stalhein and Fritz were sharing. There was no need to guess which bed was which -- one was rumpled, the other neatly fixed to military precision. Von Stalhein had placed a bowl of water and a clean cloth between the beds, as well as a small bottle of antiseptic.
Von Stalhein sat on the edge of the neat bed. Biggles closed the door, and after some hesitation, sat beside him. Meanwhile, von Stalhein removed the oversized jacket he had been wearing, like a sloppy and much too large overcoat, that covered his wings.
Beneath the jacket, Erich's torso was not naked; he wore a sleeveless undershirt that had been cut and tucked around his wings. The stitching was rough, the work crude, but it was clear that it gave him more comfort and freedom of movement than the badly oversized shirts he had been wearing.
Seeing Biggles looking, von Stalhein gave him one of those small but surprisingly genuine smiles that had been a little less vanishingly rare the last day or two. "Fritz," he said simply, then added, "It was his idea, and I admit I was a skeptic, but we cut down one of Fritz's shirts and borrowed a needle and thread from our hosts at our previous lodgings. It turned out to be quite effective."
"It seems a great improvement," Biggles said.
Another improvement -- this Biggles had helped with, the morning after caring for von Stalhein's wings at the base -- was a sling to help support his sprained wing. It had been adapted somewhat, so that now von Stalhein could release a single knot at the front and shrug out of it.
Biggles found that he was unprepared for the rich, shimmering fullness of von Stalhein's damaged wings as he carefully spread them.
They were still ragged, in no way restored to their former glory. But the feathers already looked softer and brighter, rippling as von Stalhein unfolded his wings and allowed them to sprawl off the edge of the bed. Biggles swallowed as the shining mass of von Stalhein's wing spilled over his own thigh.
"What needs to be done?" he asked, firmly pulling his mind back to the task at hand.
"There isn't nearly so much as—before," von Stalhein said. He flexed his wing and extended the ragged remnants of the feathers at the leading edge. Biggles no longer found it as shocking as the first time, but it was still like seeing a fine vintage aeroplane damaged by vandals. "Keeping a wound clean aids with healing, I know that, but some parts of the wing are simply difficult for me to reach, especially on the sprained one."
With that, matter-of-factly, he laid his wing across Biggles's lap. Biggles placed a very careful hand on it, felt the silken softness of the feathers and the warm aliveness of the muscle and bone beneath.
"It should only take a few minutes," von Stalhein said, as if concerned that Biggles might grow bored.
He could never have been bored with this. As he dabbed antiseptic on the old injuries, he was pleased to see how much of the damage was already scabbed over and starting to heal. The incredible softness of the feathers compelled him to keep touching them, and he took the time to smooth and arrange them as he went along, restoring them to a little more of their sleek, shining order.
Noticing von Stalhein was tense, he asked, "Am I hurting you?"
"No," von Stalhein said, jolting a little as if coming up from a daydream. "No—please continue. I can do the other one myself, but—" he added quickly as Biggles began to withdraw his hands. "—it is much easier with ... someone else, if you don't mind."
He folded up the sprained wing with slight difficulty, but Biggles noticed how much smoother the motion was than just a few days ago. Then he turned, folding one leg under himself and sitting sideways on the bed so that he could spread the other across Biggles's lap. This was his less injured wing, so he had a greater range of motion and the wing curved a little, as if wrapping around Biggles's flank. The most comfortable way to hold it, no doubt, but Biggles was acutely aware of the feathers, ragged though they were, brushing his side.
He worked his way across this wing as he had done the other, digging his fingers between the feathers with more confidence. He was pleased to see how well the feathers, and the general health of the wing, had recovered in just a few days. It gave him more confidence for von Stalhein's long-term return to health, and to the flight that Biggles could only assume he missed with the same fervency Biggles would have felt if he, too, were grounded.
The earlier tension eased out of von Stalhein. Biggles was so caught up in the softness of the feathers under his hands, the responsiveness of the wing's little twitches and quivers as he smoothed and arranged the feathers, that he only gradually noticed that von Stalhein, just as gradually, had relaxed and swayed against him and was now resting some of his weight on Biggles's shoulder. When Biggles turned his head, his fingers still buried in the dense, soft feathers, von Stalhein's cheek brushed his.
"Are you—well?" Biggles asked. He felt a little out of breath himself.
Von Stalhein stirred a little, but only to turn his head. His breath brushed Biggles's cheek. "I am," he said quietly. The wing twitched in Biggles's lap, moved a little, and it became quite clear that it was now wrapped partway around him. He could easily have pushed it off. He had not the slightest wish to.
As Biggles continued to hesitate, his hands becalmed now in the soft mass of feathers, von Stalhein's wing moved a little more. He was still nowhere near his previous strength, the muscles of the wing atrophied and weak, but he gave Biggles an insistent sort of jerk with it, pulling him closer with a wing that now wrapped around his waist.
When von Stalhein's mouth met his, lips soft and careful but not at all hesitant, Biggles was not in the least surprised.

This is absolutely delightful; thank you so much for writing it for me! The tenderness and UST is just utter perfection, and I love all the little details like the contrast between Erich's bed and Fritz's, and the adaptation of clothing to fit Erich's wings. The fragility of the situation, with Erich still so damaged from Sakhalin but just starting to recover a bit in terms of both physical and mental health, is so poignant, and this sentence in particular is just incredibly beautiful: He smiled rarely, spoke mostly to Fritz, but there was still a sense of thawing and warming, as of a tentative spring starting to melt a deep winter snow.
The preening itself, and the subtlety of the body language there, is so delicately and breathtakingly done, I love it! And the kiss at the end is just perfect <3
